Peace March & “Essere Orchestra”

On Friday 17 July, the Peace Village invites local residents, participants and visitors to take part in a collective experience dedicated to peace, listening and connecting across cultures.
🕕 6.00 pm – Gathering and presentation
The event will begin in the “Sala della Pace” at the Sanctuary of Santa Rita, with an introduction by the Administration of the Cascia Town Council and Flavio Lotti, the President of the Marcia PerugiAssisi Foundation.
🚶 Peace March through the alleyways of Cascia
Following the introduction, participants will walk together through the alleyways of the village of Cascia in a symbolic march open to all: a shared journey to bring a message of peace, dialogue and shared responsibility to the streets. The route will end in Piazzale San Francesco.
🎶 7.15 pm – Essere Orchestra with Stefano Baroni
From 7.15 pm, in Piazzale San Francesco, participants will be guided by Stefano Baroni, a musician, music therapist, Agile Coach and experiential facilitator. For over 18 years, Stefano has been designing transformative experiences through music, helping businesses, schools, universities and communities to develop connection, leadership, collaboration and collective intelligence.
🥁 A participatory musical experience
Essere Orchestra will bring together people from different countries, languages and cultures into a single community of sound. Through voice, rhythm and listening to one another, participants will discover how an orchestra is not born of uniformity, but of the ability to celebrate differences and put them at the service of something greater.
🌍 I am because we are
Inspired by the Ubuntu principle — “I am because we are” — the workshop will invite each person to find their own space, contributing their own uniqueness whilst supporting the group.
🤝 A sonic metaphor for community
In just a few minutes, the group will work together to create a collective flow of sound: a living metaphor for a more collaborative, mindful and connected society, where listening, trust and shared responsibility allow everyone to express themselves without losing sight of the ‘we’.
