Pathways and Stories on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
We are looking for inspirations and good practices from all over Europe in order to create a programme that allows for the generation of continuous confrontation and exchange, not only between those who exhibit/propose and those who come to learn/curious, but also with the participants in the Social Hackathon!
‘D’ FOR DIVERSITY
In nature, as in society, diversity is the only true engine of evolution and innovation.
It is through variety that ecosystems thrive, ideas contaminate and communities are enriched. Each difference is a vital piece of a larger mosaic, made up of unique colours, cultures, experiences and perspectives.
Without diversity, there would be no creativity, progress and growth. It is in the nuances that the most brilliant solutions are found, in the uniqueness that the most surprising collaborations are born.
Celebrating diversity means recognising that every voice has value, that every identity deserves space and that only together can we build a more open, inclusive and extraordinary future.
WHAT is the D-Village?
The Diversity Village is the main side-event of the Social Hackathon Umbria!
The village will be organised within the historical village of Spello and will include a rich programme of workshops and performances, open to the public free of charge, focusing on the inclusive themes of NEURO and SOCIO diversity, as well as an expo area dedicated to the valorisation of BIO diversity.
WORKSHOPS
Have you developed or experimented a methodology that values diversity in the workplace or in educational-cultural contexts? Present us the results, tools and dynamics by organising a workshop at Diversity Village!
PERFORMANCES
The arts have always been a powerful medium to value and celebrate diversity. Represent your interpretation of Diversity with a public performance in the alleys and squares of the historic centre of Spello, Splendidissima Colonia Julia, where Romanesque art meets medieval architecture.
MARKET FAIR
Present your colours, scents and flavours in the expo area dedicated to BIOdiversity. Help organise an unmissable event for those who love nature, healthy food and local traditions.

- 16 MAY > Suggest a workshop, performance or stand for the Diversity Village programme! Contact us at info@egina.eu
- 31 MAY > Let’s plan together all the details of your activity, finding synergies and opportunities for comparison with the other Diversity Village partners and with the Umbria Social Hackathon programme
- 3-6 JULY > You’ll be with us from Thursday 3 July (for inspection and set-up) until Sunday 6 July.

- Accommodation in a shared apartment/room for 3 nights (3-6 July)
- Meal ticket to spend at catering area or one of the participating restaurants

- Participation in the Social Jury on Saturday 5 July to learn about and vote for the projects competing in the Umbria Social Hackathon
- Production of a videostory with the story of the activity proposed for the Diversity Village
- Free consultancy to assess European funding opportunities to support the activity presented during the event
